Editorial Policies

Publication Ethics

MIMSE 2026 highly respects publication ethics and avoids all forms of misconduct. This statement explains the ethical behaviour of all parties involved in publishing a manuscript, including authors, the Geral Chair, Section Chair, editor-in-chief, peer reviewers, and the publisher. This policy is based on COPE’s Best Practice Guidelines for Journal Editors.

Peer Review Process

Every submitted manuscript is first assessed by the editor to determine whether it aligns with the focus and scope of MIMSE 2026, demonstrates significant originality, and has a low similarity score (checked using Turnitin). Manuscripts that pass the initial screening will be sent to at least two anonymous reviewers (Single-Blind Review). The reviewers’ comments and suggestions are evaluated in an editorial board meeting to reach a final decision. The editor will then communicate the decision to the corresponding author along with the reviewers’ comments for necessary revisions or responses.

Policy of Screening for Plagiarism

MIMSE 2026 uses Turnitin as a plagiarism detection tool. Before sending manuscripts to reviewers, the editorial team checks the similarity/plagiarism level. Manuscripts with a similarity score exceeding 20% (without exclusions) will be immediately rejected. In addition, authors are required to submit a completed and signed Ethics Statement declaring that the paper is free from plagiarism and self-plagiarism, as well as free from unlawful, defamatory, or otherwise inappropriate content that violates the personal or property rights of any individual or entity.

Copyright Notice

Authors who submit a manuscript to MIMSE 2026 understand that, if the manuscript is accepted for publication, the copyright shall be assigned to MIMSE 2026 and Publisher through the completion and signing of a Copyright Transfer Agreement. Copyright includes exclusive rights to reproduce and distribute the manuscript in all forms and media, including translations. Reproduction of any part of the proceedings (printed or online) is permitted only with written permission from MIMSE 2026. The Editorial Board makes every effort to ensure that no incorrect or misleading data, opinions, or statements are published.

Privacy Statement
