The Covid-19 pandemic has compelled individuals to adapt to a predominantly home-based lifestyle, necessitating the development of technological innovations across various engineering fields to facilitate these activities. This discourse highlights key areas where advancements are imperative to address the evolving demands of contemporary society. Primarily, information technology has become the bedrock of human endeavors, with ubiquitous internet connectivity serving as a critical enabler. The incessant generation, transmission, and reception of data through smartphones underscore the significance of seamless internet integration. The concomitant rise of smart appliances further accentuates the need for intelligent systems that can adeptly assist their users. Secondly, Industry 4.0 requires sophisticated and efficient vehicles and machinery to ensure heightened productivity and sustainability. Enhancing the intelligence and capabilities of such systems becomes paramount to meeting the intricate demands of modern industrial practices. Thirdly, the surging energy consumption, amid growing concerns for environmental degradation, necessitates novel methodologies and technologies within the realm of mechanical engineering. Innovations geared towards energy conservation and sustainable practices are crucial in mitigating the impact on global ecological well-being. Fourth, the domains of civil engineering and architecture have witnessed significant advancements in disaster prevention and management. Cutting-edge innovations in these areas are vital to bolster societal resilience and safeguard communities against the growing frequency and intensity of natural calamities. Lastly, the evolving socio-economic landscape demands a paradigm shift in management, economics, business, literacy, education, and healthcare. Novel approaches and strategies are requisite to navigate the complexities of this emerging scenario.

To foster international collaboration and knowledge dissemination in these pivotal areas, the esteemed Computer Science Faculty of Universitas Esa Unggul and the distinguished Engineering Faculty of Universitas Mataram extend a cordial invitation to engineers and researchers worldwide. We also gladly invite the esteemed presence at the eminent 2023 Mandalika International Multi-conference on Science and Engineering (MIMSE) to be held on 28-30 November 2023. This esteemed conference represents a significant platform for intellectual exchange and exploration of cutting-edge research. Building upon the success of the inaugural 1st MIMSE in 2022, which encompassed disciplines such as Civil Engineering, Architecture, Electrical, Mechanical, and Informatics, the forthcoming 2023 edition will encompass an expanded array of disciplines to encompass diverse, contemporary challenges, such as:

  1. Computer Science
  2. Engineering Science
  3. Economic, Law, Social and Humanities Science
  4. Language Technology and Education
  5. Health Science
Motivation

Lombok Island is not only a tourist destination with beautiful beaches and views but also a strategic location for hosting international events. In 2023, the MotoGP event will return to the Pertamina Mandalika Street Circuit, which is situated on Lombok Island. This makes Lombok Island an ideal venue for scientific meetings as well. Researchers around the world are constantly innovating and developing new technologies. The Faculty of Computer Science of Universitas Esa Unggul, in collaboration with the Faculty of Engineering of Universitas Mataram, provides an opportunity for researchers, industry, and government to exchange and discuss their latest technological findings for a better future.

Objectives

The objectives of the 2nd MIMSE 2023 are to:

  • 1. Provide a platform for developing and sharing effective strategies for adapting and enhancing resilience to natural hazards and energy crises at local and global scales. Facilitate an international dialogue among researchers, practitioners, engineers, government, and institutions on the latest technologies related to engineering technology. Foster further collaboration among academic institutions, industries, and government in the field of science.
  • 2. Strengthen the reputation and research capacity of the Faculty of Computer Science, Universitas Esa Unggul, the Faculty of Engineering, Universitas Mataram, and Co-Hosts as world-class research universities.

Term of Reference

We are pleased to announce that the 2nd MIMSE 2023 will continue the success of the 1st MIMSE 2022, which was supported by the regional governments of West Nusa Tenggara Province, North Lombok Regency, and Central Lombok Regency. The theme of the 2nd MIMSE 2023 is:

“Multi-Science and Technology Innovation in the Environment of Sustainable Development and Green Energy”
